Reviewing these games was obviously the domain of our teenage children, they are the ones best qualified as they spend more time "gaming" than anything else, including school work!

  • Mortal kombat: Deadly Alliance This arcade style fighting game is very impressive, fast loading times, amazing graphics, very smooth, and easy to get started. The menu's are well laid out and easy to use. This game will keep you going for hours, unlocking all the characters and hidden features. Well worth a look! This one rates a solid 7/10.

  • Speed Kings This high speed racer is one of the best motorbike games I have come across, the speedy loading times, easy to use menus, and great in game graphics will keep you amused for hours. Difficult game objectives keep it interesting, the only negative is the lack of circuits available. Scores a 7/10.

  • Lord of the rings : The return of the King This hack'em slash'em based action RPG is the best I have played. With a selection of up to nine playable characters including, Gandalf, Aragorn and Frodo. The game allows you to take up to three different paths toward the ending, as in the movie. The in game graphics are outstanding 10/10 and the game play is smooth and the loading is fast. A must have for any Lord of the rings fan. 9/10.

  • Halo This first person shoot em up takes combat to the next level, as you fight your way through multiple futuristic based levels where you must destroy a race of aliens before the wipe out the human race. The in game graphics are impressive and the game play is very good with a nice array of weapons and a driving sim to top it off. A very nice game! 8/10.

  • Grand Theft Auto: Vice City This mafia type action RPG is fantastic! You can run away from the cops in a high speed car chase or turn and blow your opposition away with a bazooka. Then there's the story line, Killing bad guys and associating with the badest. This game will keep you going for hours. The graphics could be better but overall it's a brilliant game. 9/10.

  • SX Superstar This dirt bike game is one of the best of its kind with easy to work menus, the bikes are hard to handle but the tricks are only average. The graphics are good but not great, and the storyline is average. Overall rating 5/10.
